Wanderlust Diaries | Wellington Plains

Early this week we set out to the Alpine National Park where we hoped to walk to the Tali Karng. This didn't exactly happen.. Before even beginning our hike, as we drove along the roads of the national park we took a slight wrong turn. Thinking we were on  the easy road down to Millers Hut, we ended up in fact on a serious 4WD track with 30 degree drops, mud everywhere and one too many river crossings for my liking. Thankfully, we made it out alive. Just barely. I was quite so scared at the time, thinking my cool, calm and confident looking boyfriend was highly experienced in this domain. What a rude shock when he later told me he was pooping himself for most of it.

As we were unable to find the route we set out for, and were exhausted from our 4WDing, we chose to set up camp early and hike out the next day. Great decision in the end. We found the most beautiful camping ground and witnessed a breathtaking sunset. Though we experienced crazy levels of freezing overnight, our home away from home for the night was lovely.

The next day we set out along the McFarlane Saddle track - and what a beautiful walk it was. A lovely completion to a couple days away together.

Reminisce | Tunisia 2011

In July 2011, my boyfriend and I visited Tunisia. We spent half our time in the capital Tunis and the other half in Mahdia; a small coastal town from where my family originates.

Paree je t'aime..

In late July 2011 we spent 10 days or so in the magical capital; Paree.. It was amazing. Though I have been many times before, each time I walk through the streets of Paris is like the first time. It is no wonder the wold is obsessed with France's capital. It really is majestic..
